LOCAL INITIATIVES
A21 Walk For Freedom
‘Walk For Freedom’ is a day dedicated to raising awareness that human trafficking still exists but together, we can change that. Together with A21 we fight human trafficking. We have hosted the annual ‘Walk for Freedom’ since it started in 2014.
Charity: Water projects
We aim to establish at least one water well through ‘Charity: Water’, involving our friends and family to sponsor us for clean water through runs, creative projects, and community events such as football games. In the 14 years of working with ‘Charity: Water’, we have seen €150,000 raised to build water projects in different African and Asian countries.
Artists Still Live Here
With the Artists Still Live Here initiative we give young people in Berlin a platform to see their creative potential released by collaborating with others and confront the narratives of today through art and creativity.
Kindness Towards Those Seeking Refuge
Berlin being one of the main centres of taking in people seeking refuge, we partner with one of the local organisations, Volkssolidarität, who provides short and long term accommodation for families seeking refuge in the city. We support them by getting involved in community actions at the local shelters and kindergartens. During Christmas and Easter, we spend time with these families and hand out good quality chocolates to make the holidays extra special for the children at these homes.
City Clean-ups with Berliner Stadtreinigungsbetriebe (BSR)
Throughout the year we initiate community clean-up days. This helps to support the city of Berlin, enabling civic responsibility for the streets and parks of the city. We collaborate with BSR to clean the city, particularly after the holidays. This is especially important on New Year’s Day, when the streets are often littered with remnants of firecrackers.
